Hey Freckleval!
If Ms. Mink doesn't happen to see this, you could try private messaging her, that way she gets notified of your desire to communicate.
Best of luck, I really enjoyed the Church Street bridal threads and all the great steals!
I'm obviously not mink, but just wanted to tell you to check out Church Street Bridal on facebook, they have been posted some of the latest dressed on there.
@MsFrancez: I was going to say the same thing. I follow them on there and theyre always posting when they get new stuff in.
I think she posted a while ago in answer to another query, that the person who updated the Church St blogs had left their employ and it was taking them some time to get up to speed again.
Yep, yep, yep to everyone's posts!
I was writing the blog originally and then Michelle and an intern took it over. When she left, they moved to posting pictures on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/churchstreetbridal
When I was volunteering at CSB, they never knew when things would arrive. One day when I was there, Michelle got worried when the FedEx truck stopped outside. She rushed out to ask how many boxes the man had for her. When it was only two, she was relieved. She said that there were times when over 10 boxes of dresses would show up from Kleinfeld, totally unannounced!
Other stores/designers seemed to send with more communication. For example, a few days ago, I know they posted a Facebook message about going to "Becky's" in Buena Vista. I'm sure they were going to either pick some samples or pick up some samples. My guess is that Kleinfeld has so many dresses that they don't have time to email/call to let anyone know that a donation is on the way.
BTW, the two boxes that came that day were full of Pnina dresses. :)
I'll see our friend Michelle on Saturday and I will give her a huge Weddingbee hug. I miss her posts here, but I am going to hire her to do something wedding related, so she might might an appearance again through my blogging. :)
I wish we had a place like this over here on the West coast. What an amazing idea!
Thank you vey much!!!!
I did not realize I didn't friend them on facebook. whoops! I just added them so I'll take a look soon.
So here's the deal. You all know Michelle is no longer at the YWCA and CSB. Shoe's focusing on growing her small business, E&A Handbags now.
We started the blog over the summer and the blog's pictures have been hosted through my paid Picasa account.
While I started my involvement with CSB because of their mission, I stayed involved because of Michelle. She's really an amazing woman. While I've gotten a couple messages from the person who is in charge of CSB through Facebook, they haven't been signed. They don't seem to want me involved, so I'm going to turn the blog over to that person and remove myself from being the blog admin.
I still love CSB's mission and hope they can continue to increase their visibility through the blog and Facebook.

Hi Mink!
I was looking for the person who started the threads about Church Street Bridal when I found out about it a few months ago! Luckily I found your new name. I promise, I'm not stalky...
Anyway, I'm now finally getting ready to look for a dress and am planning a trip down to Lynchburg in a few weeks. It appears you've been there a few times? If so, mind telling me if there are trends to when new dress donations come in? Is now a good time to go? Esp before Valentine's day, etc. I haven't received any new blog posts from them in my reader since before the holidays.
Thanks for any tips!
