My 5 BMs are all wearing navy Alfred Sung cocktail length dresses with all different necklines: vneck, cap sleeves, halter and one strap. I’m letting them each wear their favorite pair of nude heels and will let them style their hair however they want.
So far, the ONLY thing they will have the same is their baby’s breath bouquets….
What should I do with jewelry? Let them pick their own and spend my money on their wedding day beauty (hair, nails, makeup) or do I individually select jewelry for each girl and their neckline (knowing that they MIGHT not wear it again)
I was considering buying them all gold earrings, since it will go with all necklines.
Do my BMs need too coordinate a bit more?
If YOU were a BM, would you prefer getti jewelry as a gift or having your wedding day beauty paid for?? I’ve asked their opinions about everything, I’d like to keep some things a surprise for them!

@wlphilli: I think it’s great that you are giving them choice over dress style and shoes – me too. Personally, I think matching bouquets and dress colour is enough to show cohesion – they don’t need matching jewellry. That said, earrings make for a lovely gift if you know they will wear them again. I’m paying for their hair and make-up and giving them a gift of some sort – but I’m not sure what that will be yeT. I was given a necklace when I was a BM and haven’t worn it much since. You could let the girls know you want their jewelry to be gold and let them choose, then give them a framed pic of you with each of them individually when you get them back from photog. Another idea I like is creating a calendar of pics of you and yours maids over the time you have known them. Might mean 1 calendar if they all know each other or several if they don’t.

@Toronto2014: that’s a really great idea, thank you!
