My bridesmaids are going to be wearing mismatched dresses. They’ve all settled on what they’ll be wearing and I LOVE it. I can’t stop looking at the photos.
Now my FI is saying he wants the groomsmen to also be wearing similar suits but leave it to them to buy their own. They’ll all be wearing the same tie, though.
The whole wedding is going to be eclectic color-wise. It’s going to be held at a house on a lake so please keep in mind that this is not your traditional wedding. Think “backyard” but with 50 guests.
What do you bees think? Is that too mismatched?
Here are the bridesmaids dresses for reference!

I don’t think it matters if the grooms suits don’t match exactly as long as there are common elements like the same color suit, and you have them in the same tie.
I love the outer two BM dresses but honestly I think the middle one doesn’t quite go. Maybe because the fabric is different? If you love it thats all that matters though!

I think I would have to see the suits to comment. If they are all black or all grey, no problem. If they are black, khaki, grey, navy pinstripe-not so much.

@julies1949: the idea was, we sent them all paint chips of the wedding colors and we were going to ask them to get suits that were as close to the color we sent them as possible. I’m also still trying to figure out whether the groomsmen have enough style sense to actually stick to that.
