Throughout this whole wedding planning process I had everything planned out to be red and white. However, when I went to look at wedding dresses I looked way better in ivory then I did in white.
Do you think it would still be okay to have an ivory dress with the rest of the colors being red and white or would that just look weird.

It will look just fine! I actually like a mix of whites and ivories. I think it adds dimension.

I think it depends. Who’d be wearing bright white? If no one, then I think it’s fine.
Are you talking table linens are white…or?

My dress was ivory, but most of my decor incorporated white. 🙂 It looked perfect together! 🙂

Everything else would be white like the table linens (with red napkins), the invitations and all that other fun stuff.
Thank you for all the replies so far.

hmm… well most people will tell you that your dress might look “dirty” next to all that pure white. Having said that my friend got married in an ivory dress and the guys all wore white shirts and no one even noticed.
If you’re worried about it though, is it too late to change your colours to red and ivory?

I worried about this too, and it looked fine. And to be honest, very few of my pictures included me and my tablecloths! Even my husband’s tie was white and it didn’t look weird.

Here’s a pic of me standing beside my table cloths in my ivory dress when I came in to check out the decor before the guests arrived. I really didn’t think it was a big deal.

@SapphireSun: Your dress is beautiful!
Thank you everyone for stopping my worries. In the picture you barely notice the difference. Well that worry is now gone, onto the next thing.
