So were really hitting the home stretch here as there is only 3.5 months to go. I think so far the hardest thing has been trying to figure out what our favor are going to be. We wanted to give something non etable, but something generic that people would maybe use. We looked at heart cheese boards, snowflake wine stoppers (although were doing a winter wedding I refused to put a snowflake anywhere), but fiance said it was too generic and people most likely will never use them.
So with many months of looking we decided to do a DIY stamped travertine coaster.
Fiance said: “People always use coasters”
I thought this was a pretty nice idea as we could keep the cost down and make it about us but also generic enough that people would use it.
My envisioned coasters:
I thought these would be cute and the possibilities were endless….I have thinking wine becasuse we love wine, or just a simple love stamp, or even a lacey looking medalion as it looks vintage. All these things would have been perfect and gone with our modern yet vintage wedding.
So Fiance and I went shopping at Michaels to get stamps….
Fiances Coaster Inspiration:
Fiance: “I really love the robots and think we should get them”
Me: “Oh ….there not really generic…do you think people will want robot coaters in their home”
Fiance: “I think there cool
Me: **Silent as we go to the check out**
Okay so I have to admit they are cute, and love the beatles so it kind of works, but no where on my wedding pinterest board did I put robots and don’t really want to A. Source out more stamps, and B. Tell him that I think there cute but I dont want them in our wedding
So what do you guys think? I have mixed feelings as I think some of our friends and younger crowd will love them, and then I think the older people will hate them. I have no idea what to do but I dont want to put a damper on one of the things he got to choose for the wedding.
