Has anyone had the same experience?
We have had people buy stuff off of our registry…but then didn’t give us the gift. It’s very odd because the items that have been “purchased” are random and small – like a cake pan.
I really want the cake pan…so I’m not sure if I should re-register for it! lol Our wedding is still coming, but these items were purchased off of our registry months ago and all of the showers are done now.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any married Bees that had this happen?

To be honest, when I have purchased things off a registry I buy the gift for the shower and the wedding at the same time. One time I didn’t do that, and when it came time for the wedding there was nothing left on the registry for me to buy (booo).
Don’t lose hope, you might be getting the gifts at the wedding. The only other option is (if you are really worried about it), registering for another one, as long as the store has a good return policy you should be able to return one, if you recieve multiples.

It is possible that someone mistakenly purchased off your registry, I know my mom has had that problem before when the couple had common names! Do you have very common names?
I know that I will buy several small items and put them together in some way, such as kitchen stuff plus a cookbook I really like, so it’s possible that you will still receive these as wedding gifts.

I thought that happened to me too, but for the wedding we received everything. Or after the honeymoon everything that was “missing” was sent to our house. The other thing that could happen is, they buy you a present… see the cake pan and want it for themselves. But they don’t realize that it was marked off of your registry. Who knows. I have a feeling you will receive most, if not all, of the things you think you’re missing.

@pigzfly – we do have common names! I wondered if people bought from the registry by accident (and in that case, I feel bad for whoever received the gift that they did not register for…lol)
@kperry3 – we will definitely wait until after the wedding to see if things are still missing – You would think though that something like a cake pan would be more of a shower gift than a wedding gift…but who knows! I just wondered if it has happened to anyone else before where they saw things come off the registry only to not receive them later.
@Miss Smurf – I learned the hard way too that waiting until too close to the wedding can mean that there are no more registry items available. That’s a great idea to purchase both the shower gift and wedding gift at the same time.
Oh well – we will be patient and wait and see. Thanks for the feedback!
