Engaged and knee deep in Wedding plans. It seems like I am at the point where my mother should be getting more involved. But I prefer my grandmother. It is no secret in my family that my mother and I have a less than Ideal relationship. My mother and father married young. And had me and my sister shortly after. They never experienced life or the world. But shortly after the birth of my sister my mom got a taste of life and left me and my sister with my grandparents A LOT. My grandmother and I have a recognizeable bond. Everyone thinks she is my mother and I was a late in life suprise baby...LOL! I catch myself leaving my mother out of things by pure accident. Sad to even say i don't think of her as being a staple in this event in my life. My Fi asks me why didn't you invite your mom dress shopping? I had no answer. Truth is it never crossed my mind. Even after grandma feel sick with a cold. I took my bridesmaids and went. It's my goal to try and include my mother in things without looking like i'm trying.....any ideas?
