I think everybride goes through those same emotions when they get the call. You're going to fall in love with it all over again once you put it on!
I teeter tottered about my dress from the day I picked it up until the wedding day. I even started to look into selling it and buying something else. But at one point I finally thought, It looks good on me, everyone says its WOW, and I've already bought it. Man am I glad I did. I felt beautiful and on the day of everyone GUSHED over how amazing my dress was, and I didn't add stress my trying to sell and search again. Was it the most "ME" dress ever? Probably not. But it got the job done BEAUTIFULLY.
I think this is normal. I went through dress doubt about 2 months after I purchased (it took 4 months to come in). I often wondered if I settled too soon. I only went to David's Bridal & 1 bridal salon.
But I just picked it up 2 weeks ago & I still loved it when I put it on. It was even better than the first time because it actually fit - not like when they have you try on & pin the back with prongs. I was also worried because my hips were about 1/2 inch wider than the size I ordered, but it ended up fitting just fine, and I didn't loose any weight. You can always wear some SPANX if you're worried about the fit.
I am just starting to look at dresses. I feel your pain! I think I will have that "THE ONE" feeling though.
Here is the update. I tried on my dress and - I LOVE IT! It is beautiful! There are some small alterations I might do to the train (maybe reduce the number of pickups) and narrow the skirt a bit to make it more trumpet shaped (okay so maybe not such small alterations!) But overall, I love it. I feel like a princess in it. What do you think?
Oh and it's a Casablanca 1892, so this is what the dress looks like on their model...
wow! It's beautiful and looks like it's the perfect dress for your figure. Really gorgeous, congratulations!
That is a beautiful dress!! You look great in it. I was going to go with a dress like that but i think im too chubby to pull it off. I got mine and i am not looking at dresses anymore no matter how tempting it is!!
And the back on me. :) Please excuse the funny face. And my veil will actually be the one in the pictures above. I love sharing these with all of you!
It's pretty! You could always wear a crinoline if you want it to poof a little more in the back the way it does on the model. It does have a LOT of pick ups on the side...And I'm glad you went with the plain veil! It will look much better than the lace one. The lace one's pretty, but you're right, it doesn't go with the dress you have. I LOVE the way the front of it drapes on you =]
It's sooo gorgeus on you! You look amazing! Ahhhh...august15....I heart all of the bees...but you're getting married on my birthday so me & the Mr will be totally toasting you guys. Your dress is awesome!
AugustBride its beautiful! It looks better on you than it does on the model. I love it on you.
Awww, you look beautiful. You could do the alterations, if that's what your vision is and I'm sure it would look great, but with all its lovely pickups, I think your wedding dress looks gorgeous, as is.
Thanks for all the sweet words! It is the Casablanca 1892 in case anyone is interested...

A few days ago I got the call - my dress is in! I am going with my family to pick it up tonight.
I have to admit, I am having all sorts of mixed emotions about this! I am excited to get my dress, but I am also scared I might not love it as much as I once did! I'm not is as great of shape as I was when i bought it - will it still look as good on me?
I want to be super excited, but I am nervous too! Anyone else go through this?
