I know there is probably a thread out there somewhere, but I figured I’d ask anyway. I am in love with rose gold lately, and I want to have my wedding band incorporate rose gold somehow. The problem is that my ering is white gold. Would it look weird to wear a rose gold wedding band and my white gold ering? Should I try to find a wedding band that has both white and rose gold? Or should I just abandon my rose gold dream?
Oh and of course show me pictures. Pictures are always welcome 🙂

LOVE mixed metals, particularly white & rose gold. Do it!

if that’s what you like then why not go for it?!
i would ask with the jeweller first though with regard to how both metals will wear together – as in, if you wear different weight gold rings (in the same color) beside eachother, sometimes they can wear off each other (the lighter weight coming out the worst). not sure if the same would apply to rose & white gold, but it could be worth asking about… (i could be totally wrong, of course, but just thought i would flag it, just in case)

I chose a rose gold band to go with my white gold engagement ring. I think they look amazing together. I opted for a very, very simple band. Much as I love rose gold, I didn’t like any of the rings that had stones or design. As my engagement ring band is also incredibly simple, I went with a wedding band that is the same width and same thickness. They look incredible.
I say to go for it! Go to a jeweler and try on rose gold bands with your engagement ring. If they don’t have anything you like, try flipping one over (if it has a plain bottom) and look at it that way. I think that the fact that it’s different from the white gold is often enough to make it eye catching without taking away from the engagement ring itself. Does that make any sense at all?

To be honest I do like the look of the rose gold and white gold together but I dont like the balance. For example I have seen a white gold e-ring and a rose gold band and another white gold band to sandwich the rose and I love love loved it but not the rose gold alone and not being sandwiched….nothing personal to the ones who have one but it is only the balance/symmetry that throws me…I hope that makes sense

I love my set! Go for it if you like it!

I have a white gold engagement ring and soon I’m getting a plain rose gold wedding band. I love the look so much and I can’t wait to get the ring.

I love the rose gold and white gold look! you could totally pull it off if you wanted to!

Thanks everyone for your input!
@lorr1: I will definitely look into the wearing issue. I hadn’t even thought of that.
@GelaMac: I’m a little bit OCD so I think the symmetry would throw me too. I’ll have to look into “sandwiching” them like you said.

Maybe looking at some pics of rings that are made of BOTH white gold and rose gold would give you an idea of if you like how they look together? I’m sure you could google some photos!

I remember a recent thread on this that had some great pictures…

Mixed metals are gorgeous together! <3 I actually love the look of an engagement ring in white gold or platinum, and having two rose gold bands flanking either side. I will pull up a picture of the beauty.
