Our cake is two different flavors: bottom tier is devils food cake with ganache, strawberries and whipped cream filling, second and third tiers are vanilla sponge cake with olallieberry jam filling.
One of the wedding cakes I made was three flavors.
The bride requested almond with berry filling for the bottom layer, peach schnapps for the middle layer and tiramisu for the top layer.
She was serving the cake for dessert and her guest had a choice of all 3 flavors.
the devils fool cake sounds lush!!!
and I'm happy that it won't be too difficult to organise
my absolute favorite cake is strawberry but i know many people arent a fan. so the first and third tier of my cake will just be plain ol' white cake with a strawberry second tier. my man loves loves loves chocolate so his groomscake will be just that, chocolate. that way everyone will be able to enjoy some cake :)

Ok so my FI and I can't stand fruit cake so we are having a chocolate cake but my FMIL (a stickler for tradition) really wants a fruit cake, and my friends suggested normal sponge cake, incase the chocolate is too rich. So we were considering a big chocolate tier, a medium normal sponge tier, and then a small fruit cake tier. But what do you guys think of a mixed tier cake??
