Depending on how conservative she is, the back might be a little low, and a shawl/jacket would be overkill. Beautiful dress, but it doesn't scream MOB to me. And at a near 4-figure price tag, she would want to be sure it fits if she's planning on losing weight.
Yeah, my mom's pretty young and I can't see her going for that dress.
She has tons of time to get a dress...I wouldn't start worrying about it until springtime.
Pretty and a great choice if it's her style! The back isn't too low at all and I love the illusion neckline. Is your wedding inside or out? That's the only thing that might concern me.
I would just back off and let her choose a dress when she is ready.
Did you notice that dress is only available in a 4 and an 8?
@julies1949: I would be buying it off of a different site, also I'm worried that she will wait too long- I can see her doing this as she has for multiple other events.

Love the dress. It's fashionable and youthful but totally appropriate and elegant. Great eye.
Yes it is returnable. It actually sold out, but I put down that I would like it if someone returns it or they have another available for whatever reason *crosses fingers*
She likes it, let's just hope that if it is ordered she will like it on as well.

What do you think of this as MOB dress? My mom hasn't seen it yet so I don't know her opinion. She is dragging her feet because she wants to lose weight before buying a gown, however I don't see the harm in buying a gown now. I think this will flatter her regardless if she loses weight or not.
Oh and my dress is Mori Lee 1612.
