So, I purchased my mother’s Mori Lee dress off of bestbridalprices.com. I purchased a size 12 because according to the size chart on the website, it would fit a 38″ bust. I was so excited because the price was only $150!! I ordered it. It took almost 2 months and when it came it, it looked gorgeous! A beautiful dark red – perfect. My mother lives on a different island so, I tried it on to send her a photo. It doesn’t even zip!!!! I’m a 36″ bust!! The dress has a 34″ bust – what the heck!?!!! I’m SO UPSET! I called the customer service line and they said to take it to a seamstress. What!?! The size chart is wrong!! I talked it over with my Fiance and because the company does not accept returns, he feels this is their error and they need to fix it. Of course, they had just closed when I called them back. I have emailed the company that I need a replacement with the correct measurements. I sure hope I get a new dress!! Growl. I’m so glad I ordered it early, otherwise, I could be in a bad spot right now.
Anyone else’s Mori Lee come in really small?

Okay, before you freak out that the size chart is wrong… how do you know your bust sizes? If you are basing it on the bras you buy, you are wrong. If you and your mother were professionally measured by a bridal salon or seamstress (not a lingerie specialist), you are right.
If you are right, have a seamstress measure the dress so you have proof the size chart is wrong and then demand a refund.

Oh Gees. I didn’t think about the full bust sizing. I have been professionally measured for my wedding dress and I am a full bust 38″. The dress should at least fit me but, it doesn’t – by a lot. I am going to take it to my seamstress next week for her measurements.
Thank you for your advice!!!

Hopefully you can get it sorted out. In terms of the bust size, if your full bust is 38 inches and the dress should fit to 38 inches, it *should* fit, but keep in mind if your breasts are larger because of the bra you’re wearing or if you’ve had any slight weight change, etc, it can change the fit of the dress across your bust. Depending on the fabric too, there might not be a lot of give to it. Definitely have your seamstress measure the dress, and have your mother professionally measured and go from there.
It’s a really lovely dress!

I must say, bestbridalprices.com has responded quickly and has been willing to work with me to resolve this situation. I received an email today stating I can return the dress for an inspection. If they find a flaw with the sizing, they will fix it and send it back to me. If they feel it is the correct sizing, the dress will be sent right back to me. I hope it all works out!
