So my mom e-mailed me a pic of the dress she bought for my wedding. I really tried to love it... but I just don't think it's the right dress for the MOB. I need help finding a new dress that I can "suggest" for her. She's fairly.. ahem.. frugal - let's be honest here, she bought her current dress off the $9.99 sale rack, ugh. I don't know why she can't justify spending a little more on a dress for her own daughter's wedding! Also I have the problem of... she just got breast augmentation a couple years ago... and I'm not a fan of the fact that hers boobs seem to just "pop" out of everything she wears. How do I tell her to conceal those puppies?

Desperate for help here bees! Is there any websites you know of, where she can score a good deal on a MOB dress?

Can you show us the picture of what she chose? I'd just like to see what the style is.  I know some websites like Nordstrom's let you search by body style, full busted is an option :)

my fiance's mother is wearing the first dress that pvauter posted.  I think she got it for about $100.  if you're looking for cheap options, have you checked Chadwicks?  I haven't looked at them in years, but they used to be both matronly and pretty cheap.

Tell her the only puppies that should be a-popping on your wedding day are yours! LOL. And she doesn't necessarily need matronly. Woman who get breast augmentations do not tend to go for matronly! There are loads of sales right now. How about a mother/daughter lunch and treat her to a surprise dress shopping trip. You could scout out some suitable dresses you like in advance and make a big deal of how this is your present to her for being such a great MOB!

Thanks ladies - both Nordstrom and Chadwicks has some great stuff.

@bluespurrs - you're right, she's not exactly the matronly type haha, and besides, she's only 48.

Now just to somehow convince her, she needs a new dress! Would love to buy her one, but she knows I've been laid off for the last month, and would never let me do that :S.
