Two days ago, my (worse than nothing) wedding planner let me know that the flowers that I had planned to have were not available. They were blush phalaenopsis orchids. Partly b/c they were my favorite second choice and partly b/c I’m at the point where I feel better just doing stuff myself and knowing that it’s done, I bought a bunch of dried lavender and am going to do that instead.
I like the look of tiny bouquet’s of just lavender better than any corsage that I’ve seen done w/ it. Also, when we were going to do corsages, my mom wanted a wristlet b/c her dress is light/flowy and wouldn’t support a pin-on very well.
Our moms are walking us down the aisle w/ our dads. Would it be odd for them to have little bouquets too?
Inspiration (minus the white, w/ a ribbon instead):

Not at all! I’ve been a wedding coordinator for years (I’m sorry yours is sucky!!!) and I’ve had plenty of weddings where the moms had small bouquets.
I think they’re much nicer looking than corsages in general!

Ask your moms first. I wanted to do this and mom basically said “hell no.”

I wouldn’t like it either. It would sit on the table all night and just be in the way. Sorry.

I don’t think it is weird at all and it was an option for my MOB/MOG but both of them were pretty quick to decide that they definitely wanted a corsage rather than a small bouquet. So I agree with @ellabee – you might want to check with the moms first ’cause perhaps they will have a strong preference.

I’ve seen it done already and no one seemed to think it was weird.
