@da3lyn: LOL..calm down. First what type of dress are they comfortable with wearing? Some prefer long..some short. Some boleros, some sleeves, etc.

here is what I found for my mom at Dillard’s

She could always go for an evening pant suit, depending upon the formality & time of day of your wedding. I’ve been to black tie events where women wore feminine tuxedos or sequined pant suits and looked lovely.

@tootietoo2: I think this is a great alternative if she doesnt want to be in a dress.

Even a nice suit punched up with a satin blouse could be very nice.

Something like this? with a great necklace?

wrap dresses can be really comfortable as well, and again its the accesories that can make the look

A short dress can be very dressy too-and not so intimidating for the moms to wear.

@djoann958…love that dress!  As a MOB, it was one of my two finalists!

@da3lyn…let you mom be comfortable.  While it’s your day and you should have what you want, you also don’t want her uncomfortable in front of everyone.  Like the other ladies have mentioned, Dillards, Macy’s, etc. have some great dress styles and with the holidays coming up, there will be lots more to choose from.

I think the pant suit is a great idea if she’s not a dress gal.  Keep looking online.  I seriously looked nearly everyday for about 3 months before deciding on my own MOB dress.

I agree with the possibility of the pantsuit. It’s your wedding, so if you’re fine with it….then go for it! You and your FI are the only ones, other than the moms, whose opinions count anyway.

How about just a pretty sundress?  If she looks happy and comfortable, she’ll look radiant and everyone will know she’s VIP.
