I found a dress that I absolutely love, but I'm wondering if the color would be too light to wear to my son's wedding this July.  I don't know how to post pictures, but the dress is by Cameron Blake (style #110619) and the color shown on the manufactures's website is called Stone.  The bridesmaids are wearing JC Crew dresses in Caspian Blue which is a really dark, almost navy color. My hair color is a honey blonde color, so I ususally don't like the silver or gray colors o n me.  The only other color I might consider would be the Honey, but I'm afraid it might really be yellow which is not a favorite of the bride! So, do you think the Stone color would be alright or would that look too light near the bride's dress (Diamond White)?

I think it might be a little too light colored.  What about the coral color?  That could be gorgeous with your coloring.  (Very pretty dress, by the way.)

I agree - stone is too close to white.  Could you wear a lighter blue?

I think the stone it too light. As a bride I would be upset if my FMIL wore that color.  I do really like that dress. What about the sage?

Thanks for your help ladies!  I'm actually on my way to the bridal shop now to see if they have any color swatches of this dress.  I had emailed a picture of the dress to my future daughter-in-law and she loved the dress.  She asked me if it was the color I liked and said that  if it was, that it was really pretty.  The problem is that she is SOOOOOOOO sweet that I'm not sure she would tell me if the color was not right!  I just know she doesn't like yellow, because when we were talking to the florist, she mentioned that she doesn't like yellow. If the honey color is on the gold side it might be alright. I don't know!!!!

I dont think it is too light.  A swatch would be best so you can see the color, but I think its more on the grey side!  I wouldnt be upset.  Beautiful dress by the way!

Good luck. I hope you like one of the color swatches. If my mom didn't already have a dress I would have recommended that one, it is really pretty. Make sure you let us know how it went.

Even if she doesn't like yellow in general, I doubt she'll have a preference against YOU wearing yellow. Personally, I don't like yellow either, but I have zero opinion on ohter people wearing that color! Esp if it looks good on you =]. But coral is a ncie color, too! Cute dress!

So....just got back from the bridal shop and of course they don't have swatches of the chiffon fabric in stone or honey. ):  They had they both colors in crepe and tafetta and each color looked totally different from one fabric to the other! In the taffeta, the stone color looked taupe which I loved, but in the crepe it looked pinkish beige.  In the taffeta the honey looked gold, but in the crepe it looked more yellow. Now what?  They are going to try to see if they can get color swatches but said it may take 2 weeks if they get them at all.  Then it would take 8-12 weeks to get the dress.  I still have time since the wedding is in July, but I hate waiting!!! I wore this same designer to my other son's wedding 3 years ago so I know how beautifully the dresses are made and how they fit.  Besides, my first son told me that I looked "smokin hot" on his wedding day and what mom would ever forget that comment! LOL! Gotta love my boys!

I think if you get accessories in another color it would be ok. I don't know which color, but let's take a dark brown for example: brown shoes, brown purse a brown bolero or so...

Have you tried it on? If you have, what kind of fabric was it made in? I really think that you'll be fine no matter what color you choose as long as it isn't too light. I loved a dress too but found it too difficult to pick from a swatch. Don't you wish they had the dress shown in every color choice to make it simpler?

I wore Cameron Blake for the last wedding too and I loved it!

as MOB, I think it is a tad light~^^^ posted pic for you. I look nice in that and in ivory and I stayed away for it is all about the BRIDE and I didn't want to offend anyone.  I agree their dresses are very well made.   I went with MONTAGE and chose a royal blue.

it is a tad light.  It may look fine in real life but you will not know how it will look in photos especially if they do black and white or sepia prints.  I would error on the side of caution and go for a darker color
