Do you know if it actually looks bad on her or not? Did she send you a pic? I say let her cool down and then go with your sisters only (no friends) to try on the dresses again. And then while you’re there see if there are other dresses in the same fabric, in the same color, and from the same designer. I don’t know if you wanted all your BM’s to match or not but maybe they could all be so similar that it will look great.

I’m sorry you’re going through this, how stressful. I don’t know if this is your style but I’m the kind of person to confront people, I think you should talk to your sisters and tell them how their behavior is hurting you and how stressful and un-fun it makes the wedding.

How did your sister go so long without talking to you? Does she live far away?

She’ll have to get over it! The wedding is NOT about her, it’s about you and your Fiance. A dress would have to be ten types of hideous for me to act like that to a bride… Though I’m sure since she’s your older sister she probably feels she has authority over you, she doesn’t in this aspect. Tell her the other BMs can’t return their dresses.

Yikes – thats tough. Well in my opinion she should have been there with everyone and since she wasnt there to pick out the dress OH WELL! But if you want to take a nicer route; she is the matron of honor so she can wear a different dress and it not be a big deal!

Booooo to your older sister.  I have no constructive advice, just a general feeling of sympathy for you for having to deal with that.  🙁

Could you let her choose a similar dress with the same color? Can you talk her off the ledge and say it will look better once it is her size & such?

I am sorry you are dealing with bridesmaid troubles :-p

@Ms.Zee: I understand the matching thing. I think she is SOL for failing to bring it up right away. I am floored that she would say that to you in the first place.
