@maureen9004: I think this dress is great, however I feel for being in the wedding party you should have something a little more formal. If you were just attending the wedding as a guest I would say absolutely wear the sequins dress. What are her flower colors for her bouquet and yours? Maybe a cream or grey dress would be nice with a little sparkle detail.
@rnmobx: I'm not carrying flowers. I'm the "MOH" meaning I am signing the marriage certificate as a witness. I'm not making a speech (neither is the best man)- it's a very laid back wedding party :) I do have a back up dress that's gray though!
i think its cute and based on how you described the wedding, i think it will be fine....maybe just ask your sister what she thinks since you are not totally sure.

My sister is getting married in August- her colors are silver and white. She's wearing a short white dress from Amsale that is silk-faille. The ceremony is a JOP with close family (10 people) and the bridal party consists of me and the groom's father. After the ceremony they're having a huge evening celebration with 200-250 people.
She's told me to wear whatever cocktail dress I want. I already own this dress:
(it's not that short on me). I'm worried the sequins are too much, but like the fact it matches the wedding colors.
Basically, I'm not sure if sequins are okay for a wedding reception or if I should get a different dress.
