Hello Aerika!
I was just an MOH last weekend for my great friend. She did most of the planning and designing but had called on me to assist her in putting things together or running errands with her. I had a lot of fun doing it too. If you have DIY projects try to get her involved in helping you. I am sure your MOH will be great to bounce ideas off of too.

She might want to accompany you to a dress fitting (not because you necessarily need anyone there, but it would be an enjoyable experience for her and it can be helpful to have someone else look at the fit of the dress).
Do you need help sending out invitations? Would you like someone to accompany you to vendor appointments? It's up to the two of you as to what would be most useful and what she would like to do.

I was MOH in a wedding, and this is what I did: went to the final dress fitting and picked up the dress with the bride. I also helped with DIY favors (which ended up being about 2 days of work...get your other BM's involved too!). The bride and I picked out BM dresses together that would look good on all of us. Arranged Bachelorette dinner and party. I didn't get to do a shower since OOT family took that over.
A lot of the MOH's duties really come into play on the day of. I think I was most frazzled that day out of everyone b/c I literally morphed into a Day of Coordinator. Driving BM's and bride to get hair done, doing bride's makeup, directing photographer to the right places, right time. Her job is more about making sure the day is great for you, with no worries.
My friend is a seven hour drive away (one hour flight). she has helped me tremendously by allowing me to borrow her ear for venting... She helped me make our wedding invites, she created the labels, bought the supplies- I couldn't haul all the invites back home, so she mailed labeled them all and is going to mail the majority of them for me. She is the one friend of mine who I trust to help delegate things I need to my other girlefriends who want to help out with assembling things.
It's cute I send her emails of jewlery or design ideas to see if she thinks it is over the top or doable. And when she sees something the would be a good gift idea or favor idea she passes them along to me...
I basically used all my friends individual talents as much as I could when I could get away with it. =o)

Hi Bees! My MOH is so fabulous, and she'd like to help with the wedding as much as possible, but I just can't think of many things she might want to help with beyond the bridal shower and bachelorette. What did you ask your MOH to help you with?
