On Sunday I am attending the engagement party of my Maid/Matron of Honor. When she attended my engagement party last June she brought me a handmade peacock feather headband. Her family owns peacocks so she used some of those feathers and at the time we were thinking if using that color palette for our wedding.
I am wondering if I should bring her a present this Sunday. She has made a huge deal how she does not want to register and then changed her mind but her Fiance is being really stubborn about it. I spoke with her other bm and she said she is getting her a subscription to Sunset magazine.

Maybe just get her something small and meaningful like she did for you. It doesn’t have to be a big, grand gift. But, since you’re the Maid/Matron of Honor and another Bridesmaid or Best Man is getting her something, you probably should too. At least, that’s how I’d feel.

I’d get a very small gift for her. It depends on what she likes but you could always get her something generic like a pretty candle, a picture frame or a book you think she’d like (maybe a wedding planning guide). Or maybe a giftcard for a mani/pedi.

I agree with a small gift. Have you thought of making homemade bath salts for her?

Thanks- Actually she is my Maid/Matron of Honor I am not hers its her sister. I think I just am having gift giving anxiety you know when you feel like it should be something special then your mind goes blank like you have not knowen the person for 13 years!

I would give a gift. Perhaps a picture frames for one of their engagement photos?

They have not taken any photos yet and they both still live at home so I feel a little weird getting a house item since I know it will not be used till August.

Ooo…gift anxiety; I gets it.
I would try to get her something thoughtful too…but I know that’s sometimes easier said then done. I like the idea of giving her something that’s just for her or for you both to do together. Sometimes the best gifts are of time. 🙂
What does she like to do in her spare time? Does she have a favourite colour? What are her wedding colours?
We can try to help you come up with something cool if you can give us an idea of what she does/likes, etc.

So the party was this past Sunday and I ended up buying her a little cotton nightgown. I thought it would work since they still both live at their respective parents and will be moving in together soon so she will have something cute to wear around the house.
