What are you getting her? I have read that jewelry or a spa day is good. We’re on a budget and in all honesty, with having to buy a best man gift too, our budget all together is $100…so $50 for her. I can get her a mani/pedi for that. Or a nice earring/necklace set. What do you think? Any ideas on something nice, inexpensive but not cheap?

A Mani-Pedi sounds nice! I am sure that it is something that she would enjoy!

I’d go with the jewelry – It’s something she can keep and remember your day by; a mani-pedi comes and goes.

Because we have known each other since the day I was born I went to Personalization Mall and got a photo cube with a personalized message on the top for her about how much I have appreciated our friendship and I am thankful she is by my side. I also put in pictures. It held 4, so I put one from when we were babies, grand school years, awkward teenage years, and a more recent photo. She has it in her China hutch so it makes me feel good to see it whenever I go to her house 🙂

@chrissyb464: Any suggestions? Should it be something to wear in the ceremony? What do you think about haing it personalized?

Each of my bridesmaids is getting something personally tailored to her.
My Maid of Honor is getting this
My MoH will be welcomed to wear it during the ceremony, but she won’t be required to. She can wear whatever she likes.

@Hyperventilate: Very pretty. I’m not sure if jewlery is the way to go with her. We’ve known each other for just over 4 years, but she’s been a very good friend to me. I had to fire my original MOH, who I’ve known for 10+ years because the wedding wasn’t really a priority to her. I got engaged in May and she’s only called me 2x. Both times she was returning my call, and all she did was go on and on about her son’s wedding…next year!!! I’m not bitter…lol
Anyway, my MOH is vegan and very earthy, loves the Beatles. This is going to require some serious thought.

@butterflybride6: I love the idea of having it personalized, although that may cost more in the end and push you out of your budget. I recommend looking on Etsy.com. You can find a lot of personalized jewelry BM gifts for very good prices, and most things are handmade and so they’re more special, IMO 🙂 Good luck!

I don’t know if you MOH is a wine drinker, but we did this carrier from Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/120898438/wine-carrier-beer-carrier-perfect-gift and got two of her favorite wines. She loved it and was a great decoration in her home after!

I got my MOH a necklace and earrings and a custom made thank you card 🙂

I’m getting each of mine a random gift that I know they’ll like (as well as some matching stuff but since you only have two you don’t have to deal with that)… my MOH is getting something from Kate Spade (dunno what yet) because she is a huge Kate Spade fan, one bridesmaid is getting a Fossil tote purse filled with books because she loves totes and reading, another is getting stuff with really atrocious grandma patterns on it because she loves really atrocious grandma patterns (I don’t get it, but whatever, I can pick out something that is “her” from a mile away because of this fortunately), and I am giving our guestbook attendant an antique gold-filled locket I found on ebay that randomly already has her and her fiance’s initials on it and putting their pics in it (they love antique stuff so I think this will be good). There’s another girl and five guys as of yet unaccounted for, lol, but I’ll figure something out. I am shopping sales, outlet malls, places like Tuesday Morning/Kohls/Overstock/Ideeli/Hautelook/etc to try to get good prices since my budget for individual gifts is $75 each. But since I am coming in well within budget on stuff so far I know you’ll be able to do it for $50.
