I toasted my sister, and delved into embarrasing childhood memories!
I had a "soap opera wrapped" (ya know, the kind which the lid done up separately, so it can be opened oh-so-easily?) gift box filled with items to illustrate my toast points.
The visual aides helped the crowd cotton on to where I was going with the toast, and totally surprised the sis! (Some of my fave pictures from her reception are the "Where the hell are you getting this from?" looks of disbelief during the toast.
Plus, the gift box looked tres chic among the other wedding goodies after the toast!
Can I quote Wedding Crashers? Speak from the heart!
Just don't do this:
i did a Letterman style Top 10 reasons for BIL to marry my sister! it was very light hearted and funny at the beginning and the #1 reason was something mushy!
