My Maid/Matron of Honor, who we found out is pregnant about 3 weeks ago, just found out she is having twins!!!
She is flying to TN from CO for the wedding week (bachelorette, rehearsal, wedding all in one week). I am worried she is going to be tired and feel bad! I want her to do things at her own pace!
Has anyone had twins? How do you feel around the 5 month mark (thats where she will be for the wedding)???
OMG! I am having twin godchildren!

I’m only 2 and a half months but I’ve heard that in the 2nd trimester the morning sickness and extreme fatigue has lifted. However, with twins I’ve also heard the symptoms are twice as bad and so she still might be feeling pretty icky. One of the Bridesmaid or Best Man in my wedding was 5 or 6 months along that day and she seemed perfectly fine (as perfect as a pregnant woman can get :)).

One of my colleages is 19 weeks pregnant with twins (her second pregnancy) and although she “feels OK”, sizewise, she is larger than I am at 7 months. So I can only imagine that your Maid/Matron of Honor at 5 months will be quite big and that might make her uncomfortable.

My Mother-In-Law said she got VERY tired around the 5 month mark and that’s when they had her stop working. Her boys were very large for twins, 8lbs 1oz & 6lbs 13oz, so that also contributed to her tiredness I’m sure.
I’m sure your Maid/Matron of Honor will be getting farily uncomfortable and easily tired at that point, so that’s something you might want to take into consideration when planning what she’ll wear and be doing for your wedding.

Thanks for the help ladies! She is already feeling very sick most of the time. She is only 2 months right now. I will see her next month as she is flying in for our shower. At that point she will be just entering her 2nd trimester, so we are going to dress shop then and figure out how we will manage with other wedding stuff.
I am worried about her being super tired. She is worried about being super huge! Its also going to be June in TN so it will be pretty warm.
AND we are staying in a 25 person cabin with all our friends the weekend of the wedding. I don’t know if she is going to be able to swing that still! She wants to wait and see how she feels in May.
This is her first pregnancy, so she has no idea what to expect even if it was one baby!

My cousin is currently pregnant with twins and is around 5 months. She is measuring as someone who is full term and would be ready to give birth if there is only one. She is feeling fine, just pretty tired. The doctors suggested that she take 2 naps per day and that would help her to not go on bed rest.
I would just make sure that you are understanding and allow her to do everything at her own pace. She may need to take naps in between the festivites or go to bed early than the rest of the group, but she should be fine to do most of the stuff.
