I think it depends on the look you want and the price you want to pay 🙂 from what I hear, ASHA and wink look most realistic in terms of mimicking a diamond and wink gives you more color choices in terms of warmth. Moissanite is very different look. I have seen moissy in real life and could tell a  difference between it and a diamond, but I was definitely looking. Moissy is really beautiful in the colors and sparkle it send out. Wink is the least expensive of your choices and moissy is the most expensive. I think if you call wink, you can order all three stones and see which you like best. Wink also has a bazillion different cuts.

I guess it depends on what you are going for, if you are looking for a diamond simulant, something to pass off as diamond, I’d go with Wink, cheaper, more color choices, and fabulous stones. Asha is pretty, I own one, and while it has a coating on it to help with scratching, all in all, neither an Asha nor a Wink is a forever stone and both will most likely need to be replaced every 3-5 years.

If you are looking for a stone that will last you a lifetime because you don’t want to be changing it out, and are perfectly happy with a non-diamond engagement ring, I’d go for the moissy! I own three, and love them all, the sparkle is amazing and even after all these years they still make me smile when I see them twinking away.

So the short, go with Wink if you want a diamond sim, and get a moissy if you want a forever, pretty sparkly rock. 😀

@Pang27:  I am biased.  I vote for palladium with moissanite because that’s what I have!

Moissanite’s more durable, though the Wink will look more diamondlike.  It depends what you want.  I think part of it depends on the cut you’re interested in.  If you’re going for an OEC, oval, or cushion, I’d recommend moissy, if you’re looking for a round brilliant, princess, or other fancy cut, you might be happier with a Wink.

@Pang27:  get the moissanite, it will not cloud or scratch like cz. It costs more than cz but is still just a fraction of what a similar sized highquality ethically sourced diamond diamond would cost.

If it’s in an engagement setting–noone will be the wiser that its a simulant and not an actual diamond! has moissanite in white gold in a 6 prong setting for $299 1 carat diamond equivalent.
