xosamanthaaa:  hey girl! my now FI ordered my moissy from moissaniteco, and funny thing is i actually signed for the package myself! Totally not knowing what it was, he always orders t shirts or whatever online… Anyway he said it came within a week or less. Now that we laugh about that (and that he left the package on the entry way table for DAYS) he says he loved the service of the website. He called and was able to speak directly to a person about what he was about to purchase. I would absolutely recommend moissy, not only that it is a BEAUTIFUL stone, but ethical and financially practical for the style you like. I love solitaire, and told him about moissanite. He was hesitant at first, men and their pride… But he now loves his decision and knows how much I constantly drool over my ring. I have my absolute dream ring and it didn’t come close to breaking the bank. Here she is! 7.5 mm (1.5 ct equiv) FB round 6 prong solitaire. I don’t know the actual number from the site, but it resembles the Tiffany replica. Ahhh drrooolll. TO ADD: Size is exact. I wear a 6.5 and she fits perfectly.

Congratulations girl!!!! And good luck finding your dream sparkly whatever it is you choose! 🙂

I bought myself a .5 carat solitaire from Moissyco as a gift for graduation and to celebrate some milestones that I have hit in the last year. I love my ring. It is well made, the customer service is great, and the shipping was fast. You do have to sign for the package, but I had mine delivered to a store and that worked out well for me. Love them, and would buy from them again.

xosamanthaaa: THANK YOU!! I am obsessed. Girl I know right! I still can’t believe it! You KNOW it would have been ripped open if I had known! ha! Actually, it is not insured… I know, so bad. But considering it cost around $1100 with the matching plain band he wasn’t too interested in insuring it (CRAZY MAN). I don’t really know the details of how insuring a ring works, if it’s like a monthly deal or something. He also loved moissanite as I am sure your SO will too! He said “Babe it’s a space rock, how cool. How do they get it to shine like that?” He is a special one. LOL!

I was at the mall one day… a couple months before he proposed… and casually strolled into a jewelry store to try on rings with my mom and to get properly sized. I have a james avery ring that’s a size 7, and I was actually sized to a 6 in the jewelry store (Zales). But they will size you tight, or at least they did me! And here in the south, you need to make sure you have swelling room! ha! I have always joked with my FI about how my shoe size (7) is the same as my ring size in case he was ever wondering… men need serious hints. But turns out I am a 6.5 comfortably. Comfort is key! 🙂

xosamanthaaa:  Well hell yeah on losing weight girl! Amazing! I have recently started eating healthier considering we are getting married in a short 5 months or less! Can’t have these flabby arms! HA! OMG he thought it was glass? Valid assumption I suppose. And I agree with you about the insurance. If anything happened to it, we could easily fix a prong but if it’s the stone we could easily order another one. That’s another beauty of moissy! Also, I’ve read that diamonds are terrible “investments” and aren’t worth jack if you try to sell it to upgrade. Plus, I don’t think an engagement/wedding ring should be seen as an investment! Right? But I bet we have identical hands, and I would go to at least 2 stores to try on… typically the rings they have on display are 6.5-6.75 so perfect for girls with our size to try on! It’s fun too, you see all kinds of women and men in those places. I hate malls.

By the way, I read on another post on here that moissyco, along with other stores that send off rings to be resized, take weeks to get them back! I would just die! A friend had to send hers off, freak of nature has a size 4 finger, and I think she waited almost a month. Her ring is a Vera from Zales too… no idea. But as far as I have read and heard from FI, moissyco is great to work with! Use that southern charm and you’ll get what you want! 😉

xosamanthaaa:  I would like to add… give yourself .5 size more for comfort (and southern problems). I tried on the wedding band (FI tried putting that on also during the proposal, silly) and it made the e ring tighter as well. Makes sense I guess.

Good places to read about moissy– google “diamonds suck”. I know so tacky, but there is a blog with a TON of info that helped sway my FI! And also here on the Bee. These Bee’s know their stuff about moissy and how amazing it is!! Good luck!

xosamanthaaa:  I didn’t order from moissaniteco, but I highly recommend getting a moissanite if you like the extra sparkle (it doesn’t look quite like a diamond if you compare them side by side).  In addition, moissanites don’t cake up with oil and grease the way diamonds do, so that’s an added plus.  I’ve had my ring for more than 4+ years and it’s just as sparkly as the day I got it.  Mine is a forever brilliant 6mm.

my finger is a size 6, mine is also a forever brilliant, 1.5 carats, round, 6 prong with a scrolling detail on the side.  it came with a matching band that is in the safe until the wedding.

FH doesnt like online shopping but its the only option for this.  he said it came quickly, had to sign for it, and he was even more imrpressed with it when it arrived.

xosamanthaaa:  My sidestones are diamonds, but since they’re so tiny I don’t think it really matters.  However, if you look closely in person, the two sets of stones to sparkle differently, but it’s barely noticable.  I would imagine if you were getting larger stones in your band or as sidestones, you’d probably want to go with moissanite.  Both of my rings are from a small local jeweler, purchased at separate times (I like mismatched sets).

I have a moissanite anniversary ring, it’s a three stone square brilliant cut and I love it! It is very sparkly and eye catching. I did not order from moissaniteco, though. I think moissanite is awesome, and everyone should have at least one!
