As far as being clumsy goes, I can identify with you there! My moissy is a 1 carat round cut from MoissaniteCo. I bump it off of stuff ALL THE TIME. And in nearly 2 years, the stone has never been knocked loose or anything. However, I DO get it inspected every few months just to make sure everything’s cool (most jewelery stores around me will clean/inspect for free, even if you didn’t buy the ring there).

I don’t shower or anything with my ring on, so I’m not sure what to recommend as far as you wearing it at work.

I did have a woman at a jewelry store suggest that I take my ring off EVERY time I wash my hands, use lotion, etc. I do remove my ring when I use lotion or cleaning chemicals or whenever I’m cooking. But it stays on when I wash my hands, mainly because I don’t want to be slipping my ring off in a public bathroom somewhere.

I would suggest wearing your ring on a chain around your neck while at work and then just treating it like normal for every day stuff (hand washing, etc.). Just see if you can find a local jeweler who will take a peek at it for free or cheap every once in awhile, just to make sure everything is okay.

I am incredibly clumsy. In fact, my ring just took a six foot tumble onto a hard wood floor and there is not a scratch on it. I do take it off to shower, cook, clean, etc, but only because the cleaning stuff leaves a film on my ring.

My ring is a 1ct moissanite from moissanite and co

Yep my moissy ring stays on when I wash my hair (& do just about everything else). I’m also super rough on rings & haven’t had any problems whatsoever with my ering. My platinum setting is full of dents & scratches but the moissy remains pristine.

Moissanite is  tougher than diamonds, it’s less likely to chip if you knock it into things. It also doesn’t attract dirt as much as diamonds & other gems, so theoretically will stay cleaner for longer than your diamond set (although who knows how noticeable this actually is!).

As far as scratching, you don’t have to worry. Nothing but diamond can scratch a moissy & you’re not likely to be knocking into diamond walls.
