My FH bought my ring in July of last year, and there were absolutely no problems. My ring is absolutely perfect! It even came in on the earliest possible day it was scheduled to (or possibly a day early).

I don’t have a moissanite but I really wanted the Amora H+A Gem – it’s not available until 2015, but I heard rumors that it’s being sold in other countries right now (not sure if that’s true yet or not – about to embark on a bit of research actually because I really want it lol) and that you can get a forwarding service to send it to you.

@missmonsterjeep:  I think I used their live chat to ask some random question about shipping times, but that was it. Nothing serious. My ring’s the sol279.

@missmonsterjeep:  You can always return it if you dislike it! We are waiting for my moissy right now. It’s in shipment!

If I was you, I think I would order a loose stone and have a local jeweler set it. That way you have someone to fix any loose pave and do any cleaning and repairs locally. That’s one thing I’ve read dozens of times–it’s quite costly to send back and forth insured for any repairs.

Also, ordering a loose stone allows you to be sure you will like it if you haven’t seen one in person. I had my heart set on moissanite, and when I got it, I didn’t like it. I was expecting it to be very diamond like, and it’s really a different gem that looks quite different.

My fiance just bought one from them in March as well. I LOVE it, and he had no issues at all!

@missmonsterjeep:  so if you’re picky about the setting (I am as well!) how can you be sure you will like this one without trying it? That’s part of why I say it may be best to go local.

The differences to me were not just color (although I found it to be too warm for me, but I am color sensitive) but also it lacks a crisp facet pattern like diamond. That’s what I disliked the most. In certain lights it just looked hollow to me.

I think it’s complicated by the fact that some people truly get “duds” and some look very diamond like. I think the older enhanced moissanites (before amora or fb) were the most diamond like for some reason. The one I ordered was amora. I don’t want to be negative at all and you may love it, but I want to give an unbiased opinion of what I saw. Of course, I love diamonds and I really did just want a cheaper diamond substitute, and I admit that. If you don’t care to have a diamond, you will very likely love it.

I second getting a loose stone first. That’s what FI and I did, then got it set in a James Allen setting. It was nice to be able to see the loose stone first and test it in various lighting. Mine is also unenhanced, but will possible upgrade once the Amora H&A’s come out!
