@glitter-girl:  My coworker has a 1 ct round unenhanced in an all yellow gold setting and it’s GORGEOUS. I don’t have any pics though, sorry. Her stone looks really white all the time though!

@glitter-girl:  I have an RHR with Moissanite  .75 centre (6 mm) and 2 5 mm Chatham Rubies. All stones are bezelled in yellow gold. The Moissy is unenhanced. ,but shows no warmth at all, it is white and bright and sparkly. Here it is:

@sparkletiger:  I love this ring! Was it custom made? My birthstone is ruby and I’ve been after a ruby ring forger 🙂

@Splodge2003:  I bought the ring from another TFL member (The Facet Lounge forum) , as far as I know it was custom made but the stones were in cathedral setting. I then reset them into bezel by a jewelrer in London. Ruby is my birthstone too, and the colour of these rubies is just breathtaking (goes from scarlet red to raspberry to cherry depending on the lighting) .

@glitter-girl:  I can imagine that moissy would look bright white in yellow gold as I’ve seen a large J/K diamond in yellow gold and it was spectacular. Very bright and shimmery, and I would have guessed it was a colourless stone.

I recall that while shopping for settings, my jeweller told me that rose gold and yellow gold show the colour of a stone more, which is why white gold and platinum are preferred. I haven’t really seen evidence of this, but I also don’t have a trained eye.

I don’t know if you have experience with moissy in real life, but it is a moody stone. It can be bright white in one setting and look downright yellow-green in another. This may be what the negative reviews were describing. If you embrace the moodiness of moissy, it’s a great choice! I’m hoping to have a replica of Nicole Ritchie’s e-ring made with a 1.5 carat unenhanced moissy because I’ve come to admire its moody qualities. My engagement ring is diamond though, only because I wanted to have white shimmery goodness all the time 🙂

@glitter-girl:  it looks mostly white, certain angles you can see some warmth but I like that. Face up it looks great, the contrast from the stone and gold really helps
