Well hello everyone,
This is my first post here at WeddingBee. I am a 24 year old male and I am going to propose to the total love of my life later this week. I wanted to create an account to share with you as much as possible everything that has taken place thus far.
WeddingBee has been a wonderful resource for me to find the perfect ring for my “soon to be” fiance (of course only if she says YES). Because of all the great posts and pictures I have seen on this website, I wanted to share with you all as well. Without the contributions of everyone here, this entire process would have been very difficult.
I purchased a ring from MoissaniteCo.com after a lot of research. It seems, for the most part, that the reviews were good. I did look at diamond rings at many stores in Houston, and never felt comfortable with any of them. After looking at alternatives, Moissanite seemed the best bet. I showed the website to Crystal (future fiance t minus 1 week), and she absolutely loved all the settings.
I FINALLY decided to pull the trigger and bought the Wed455 set (Eng819) and I wanted to share with you some pictures of the ring. I have only been able to sneak a look because I am ALWAYS with Crystal and I want this to be a total surprise. She is still under the impression that I am going to wait a few more months before I do anything. We have been together for about 3 years now and she has dropped many hints in the past. We both talk openly about marriage and she is truly my best friend. I have never showed any rush to propose, so I think she is starting to think it will never happen. When I took her to look at rings several months ago, I tried to act like we would “wait and see” what happens in the next few years.
But, it will not be a few years at all. I just don’t want her to expect what is coming. It should be a complete suprise. Anyways, I will be posting pictures when I get home today and give a little review of the quality and what I think of the ring set.

Here are some closeups… REALLY CLOSE UP

Okay! Sorry to everyone for the picture overload, but I really wanted to share with everyone. And not to worry, I will post pictures when she is wearing the ring… I know it probably looks really strange the way that I am holding it, but I think it gives the ring justice.
Again, this is a moissaniteco.com ring, style wed455, eng819 (engagement only), size 8mm center stone (2 carat equivalent), size 5.25 band, and this stone has been enhanced with the “forever brilliant” feature that moissaniteco.com offers. Not sure if this makes any difference or not, but I went ahead and added it because I am sensitive to color variations.

@rustyreflection: Beautiful ring! I love that setting..simply gorgeous!
I’m always so impressed by the men who come on here and do research. My husband would have never thought of it. Ha! It’s fun to get a preview from a guy before he proposes!

It’s beautiful. Men who post on this site make me swoon. She’s a lucky girl! Congrats.

Popping over from your other thread to see the pictures. Gorgeous! I love it!
You didn’t mention in the other thread that the stone is forever brilliant. That should be whiter than my moissanite, which is a 7 mm unenhanced. I’m sure she’ll love it!

So glad that you did research before you “pulled the trigger.” My SO picked out a ring and then asked me to confirm that I loved it. He done research and now I cannot wait for my ring to get here and for him to propose. You seem so happy and excited about this. You may not be able to last a week before you go crazy and do it anyways. Congrats on your upcoming engagement.

@WrestlersLove: LOL you are so right. I am going crazy and I keep wanting to just do it. But I have some cool plans set for the weekend that I think will make it very romantic and memorable. It is tough, but I know the surprise factor will be a fun thing for us to look back on.
I did the same thing as your SO because I wanted to get some confirmation that she would like that certain style. Luckily, I was able to convince her that right now wasn’t really the best time (that was a few months ago)… So she should be totally caught of guard! haha So much fun.
It’s really great “knowing” and being with your best friend.
Thanks for all the positive feedback!
