Congratulations! I wish you a wonderful proposal experience. Great ring choice, that design is one of my favorites. My ring is also from Moissanite Co, and I’ve been very happy with their customer service both before and after the order. 8 months later, I’ve asked them for help 3 times and they always come through.

Honestly, yes, I do see some color in it, but I’m also a fan of that feature of the stone. Maybe she will love it too, or maybe she won’t notice it. Moissanites are all a little different, and some are whiter than others. In the average environment, my stone is anywhere from very white to slightly warmer with a hint of yellow. Sometimes it becomes steely grayish on overcast days, which I also really like. The majority of the time it’s quite white though. The coolest part of moissanite’s color is that it picks up colors in the environment very strongly. It was showing lots of green when I was waiting for my bus under the trees, and it turns purple when I take a picture with my phone in its purple case. Here are two pictures at the same time in the same lighting, only separated by a couple seconds during which I took the purple case off my white phone. You can also see some warmth in the second photo.

ETA: Here’s a picture without much yellow, for further comparison

@rustyreflection:  My stone can be a little buttery in very yellow light or overcast light, but it’s not like I was going to buy a perfectly colorless diamond either.  I like the hint of warmth, but most of the time it’s very clear/white.

@rustyreflection:  Thank you! Yes, it is a halo. It’s always been my favorite ring style, I’m very happy to have one of my own.

I’m glad you’re loving the moissanite and its colorful flair. I agree that the subtle warmth and incredible fire really draw me to moissanite over any other stone. Please be sure to come back for an update after your proposal. Good luck!!
