@WowGamerBabe:  Beth at Schubach will handpick you the best moissanite. Id go with them for sure, even for a simple solitaire 🙂

I don’t have a moissanite but I did have them custom make my setting and my experience with them was great.

I got my set from Schubachs and they were amazing. I dealt with Beth who was fantastic and has the patience of a saint. I’m in Australia, and just via one phone convo and email they created the custom rings of my dreams at an excellent price point. They will pick the whitest and best cut moissy for you, so you can’t really go wrong. I haven’t heard one bad review from them and I can only sing their praises! I’ve heard both good and bad from MoissCo and Moiss.com but mostly good.

    My rings for reference:

@WowGamerBabe:  I would definitely go with Schubah if you want the stone picked for cut and colour. Moissy is great, but not all the same unfortunately, as it is hand cut, so there is a cut and colour variation. I heard many many times that at Schubah they will go an extra mile to choose a nice stone (they assess them in different lighting, etc.)

@WowGamerBabe:  I also went the Schubach’s route. Every time you call or e-mail you’ll probably be speaking with the same, lovely person. They care about you as a person and a customer, have excellent quality control, and do have that reputation of getting the best cut/color stone possible for your setting.

We went with them again for my wedding band, but I don’t have a picture of that.

I do not have a moissanite ring. However, if I ever decide to purchase one, I would want to see it in person and choose it myself.

Some major retailers, such as Sears and Kohl’s, carry moissanite rings in their stores, and I’ve also seen moissanite earrings in a small, locally owned jewelry boutique in a resort town I was visiting.  They were beautiful.

@WowGamerBabe:  you won’t be disappointed! It was this forum and all the lovely ladies here that helped me decide who to go with. Yay! What an exciting time for you, do you know how long you’ll have to wait?

@hellosunshine:  Is that a forever brilliant, or just a regular moissy? I am looking into moissy too… but I keep checking the schubachs website and the only loose stones they seem to have are regular moissy. I wanted the FB to make sure it was super white.
