Oh no!! Mold is so frustrating. I live in a very very wet area, so I know how you feel. Where I live, everyone ends up with mold somewhere, somehow, unless you are crazy diligent about checking for it. You clothes/most of your bedding should be fine. If the clothes do not have visible mold, I would recommend washing your whites with bleach twice, and your colors with vinegar twice (do not bring your clothes back into your house after you’ve washed them, and DO NOT MIX VINEGAR WITH BLEACH!!). If you can see mold, soak overnight!

Also, where I live it is the tenents responsiblity to keep the house clear of mold, but since it is such a common problem here I have heard of situations where mold was in the walls before a new tenent moves in, and then it is the landlords responsibility to make sure the home is safe to occupy. You might want to check it out, to see if you should clean up yourself or alert your landlord.

Here’s more info on mold and mold clean up! Good luck, too. Mold is a pain in the a$$. http://www.epa.gov/mold/moldguide.html

I had a weird mold problem in my first apartment too. I second the suggestion of washing whites in bleach and colors in vinegar. My mom also used to scrub the walls with bleach or vinegar if there was mold on them. I don’t know how well it helped, but the mold would be gone after the scrubbing, at least for a while.
