So I don't have a good picture of my Mom from the big day, but that's her on the left, obviously posing for someone, during the recessional. She got TONS of compliments on the dress (and shoes, of course). That's my MIL on the right and her dress was very much "her" as well. They're both petite, around 5'2".

This dress was a last minute find at DB after she decided that the dress she originally bought wasn't going to cut it...

My mom is on the right in yellow:

And here is my MIL:

Here's my beautiful mom in her dress:
I don't know where she got it but I thought she looked beautiful.
My wedding was a bit less formal than yours, but this is what my mom wore. Sorry, she's hiding behind me a bit.

My mom got her dress from a bridal salon...she looked at DB and a bunch of department stores but couldn't find anything she liked in a petite size. The one she picked was by Cameron Blake, his line had a lot of very pretty and appropriate dresses. She wanted her shoulders covered but doesn't like bolero jackets, which made it a little tricky! Plus she is just picky...she tried on more dress than I did! I literally got a blister on my finger from zipping her into so many dresses.
Here my mom with me and my bms. You can't see the bottom, but it's a floor length gown.

Here's my mom (on the right, in royal blue):

And here's my MIL (in brown):

Here's my Momma the day she bought it. She paired it with awesome sparkly shoes and a matching purse.
Thinking about this one for my mom! (ignore the black bra and bra straps and the fact that the dress is about 100 sizes too big please :-D )
@Ms.VW: Saks! Where else :-p I am not sure whick designer it is though :-/ Found it today while I was buying my BMs their dresses :)
My mom got this one from JcPenney... pretty cheap, but it actually looks really nice on her!

@SarahSmilesDec28: Where did your mom get her dress? It's pretty!! I think my mom would like something like that :)
@yellowshoe: love your wedding dress!!
here's my mom's dress. I thought she looked so pretty! I believe her's was from JCPenney also.

So loving these pics!! All the moms look so beautiful.
I still want to see more photos though. :-)
I told my mom that I wanted her to wear whatever she felt the most fabulous in, so her dress is not exactly a traditional MOB dress, nor did it match any of my colors, but I thought she looked amazing! (It has thin straps, with a matching shawl that is falling off one of her shoulders)

@DaneLady: I need to check the tag... she got it on clearance at the bridal salon where I got my dress. The funiest part is that I think she paid 4x as much for her shoes and bag as she did for the dress! lol
Oh man, MOB dresses. This was so tough for my mom, as she didn't like how she looked in anything! Her final choice was from Jessica McClintock, believe it or not! My main color was also blue, the color my bridesmaids wore. Here's my sister walking Mom down the aisle:
@adnama: Haha! We are definitely built almost exactly alike and have similar features, but I have the darker coloring of my dad's side of the family.
Here's my mom. I initially thought this dress was terrible, that the color would clash with everything (my wedding colors were deep red accented with some bright orange) and that it showed too much skin for a 50 year old woman. But looking back I love her choice, she looked (and felt) great, with just the right amount of stylishness and she stood out as a guest of honor.

Mum will be wearing this dress in cobalt blue:
She just went for her final fitting this morning and is over the moon. She is short and quite straight in her shape and this give a waist similar to what Vivienne Westwood dresses.
My mom searched for her dress way longer than I searched for mine! She ended up buying it at Nordstom after I forced her to try it on!

I am sooo saving this as favorites, all your moms look fabulous!
OH and my mom's dress is midnight blue but it looks black in this photo
This is the one she absolutely loved, but it was about $100 more expensive than the other one:
Then there's the one she actually bought (dress is too large so it makes her look bigger in this dress, but when altered will make her look like the blue dress did):
@MrsNeutrino: I love love love this dress! What brand or style number is this? My mom would look wonderful in this. Thanks :)
my mom was being SO picky about dresses, but she fell in love with the "Ursula of Switzerland" line, which definitely had some really cute MOB/MOG styles. She picked one that was above the knee and not matching my wedding colors, but I love it on her!
@funfunfun: here are some of my mom and MIL, who both went with black:

My mom is the blonde, MIL is the redhead.

Starting to shop for my mom's dress for the wedding. We are not even sure where to start. The wedding is in the fall (October) and our main color is blue - though, my ladies will all be wearing a different shade of blue. We are also going with shorter (above the knee dresses) to show off our boots. The wedding is more formal than rustic - It is Black Tie Optional.
MOB is very petite at 5'0 and super thin. She will not be wearing boots. :-) MOG is super tall and slender. She will most likely be wearing dress flats.
Any ideas/suggestions would be so greatly appreciated.
