At preschool we have like 8 infants and I can usually pick out who it is without looking.

My mom said when she was breast feeding, if any baby would cry she would start leaking..

Absolutely.

I also had letdown anytime a baby cried even when I knew it wasn’t mine 🙂

I also work at a daycare, there’s 16 infants I see regularly and I always know exactly which one is crying even if they’re in the other room

@cls9q:  my mom works as a lactation consultant and if she hears a baby cry that is simular to the way my sisters and i cried she get a “tingle” in her breasts… She is 62!

@Cory_loves_this_girl:  I knew my baby’s cry right away & could hear the differences from others in the hospital. His is the only one I physically feel in my spine. I can’t bear to hear it for 3 seconds.

Yes, I totally can tell my little guy’s cry. I remember when I was pregnant and stopped by my local playground for lunch. There were like 100 elementary aged kids there running around. Someone fell and started to cry, and I saw a set of parents jump up. It was pretty amazing to see how automatic the reaction was.

Definitely. When he was in the NICU, I could tell his cry from other babies before I had even entered the area he was in. The other day DH and I were shopping in Walmart. DH had LO who started crying and I knew right away that it was him. They were three aisles down – I had no idea where in the store they were until I heard him!

Yes, I can differentiate between my baby’s cry and others but one of the kids in his classroom (a few months older) sounds a lot like him. When I leave and the door is closed, I can tell if he’s started to fuss just by hearing the cry through the door.
