WOW!! your mum looks awesome... the make looks great too but your mum is a stunner!
She looks really good and young! My only thought is that the color of the top shadow or eye liner is a bit off, but that may be from the camera or lighting. Otherwise, totally awesome.

The makeup looks great, except I agree that the blue eye colour is a bit off (maybe something more neutral would be better?)

Maybe she feels the make-up is 'too much' because of the colour. Like Catstax said, neutrals on her eye might make her feel more comfortable. Or less intense lip colour? Maybe if she asks the makeup artist they might be able to create a more natural makeup look that she likes better. But it does look good as is.
I totally agree that a neutral eye color and a more natural lip color will be the perfect fix. Does your mom not wear much makeup usually? Maybe that's why she doesn't feel entirely comfortable, but she doesn't look bad at all! Your mom is totally hot!
I agree with everyone else that your mom is beautiful! :) And I would also think older sister if I didn't know. I think maybe the blue is too much though... I think maybe something more like brown or maybe even a darker smokey dark gray around her eyes- something to really bring out the brown in her eyes :)
Seriously would not have guessed that is your mom! She definitely looks like she is late 20s/early 30s. Wow...and I think the makeup looks great too :) Tell her not to worry and instead to embrace her youthful face!

Like the lip colour, but not a fan of the green/grey eyeliner or shadow that was used. She definately doesn't have too much make-up on. Will look great.
I'd think she's your older sister! Your mom looks so young! :) The makeup looks great on her and I don't think it's too much.
It might look like too much to her in person, but in photos it is just perfect. I love the blues on her eyelid -- really makes her pretty eyes pop.
P.S. People always think my mom is my sister too. It used to bug me, but I love having a hip, youthful and beautiful mom. She offers a glimpse into how you'll age, so let's just say you're lucky.

She normally doesn't wear that much makeup, so maybe going natural would be something we could try! (But I still say, "it's just right"!!)
The reception is at night, which is a really god point... I bet she hadn't thought of that!
@jadeblue: Growing up (and still now) I LOVED having a young, hip, trendy mom.
I was never embarrassed to go to the mall with her, or have her drop me off at cheerleading, or chaperone a school function.
All the girls looked up to her and how cool her clothes were and how perfect her makup was.
So I give a big "right on" for young mommies!! ;)
omigosh, ditto on the older sister part!! I think her makeup looks fabulous. I particularly love that lip color on her. It may *feel* like a lot, but it looks fantastic. But the ladies above are right--maybe the eyeshadow color is too much of a change for her (chocolates/pinks would look nice, also!) but i'm a big fan of the green (?) color myself and i think it makes her eyes pop in a good way.
I wanted to drop in and say THANK YOU to everyone. You all posted such wonderful comments and my ego got a ginormous boost! It's an odd feeling to look at yourself and see something that you don't normally see, but your posts have given me the confidence I needed to just go with it and have a great time. I agree - your mama's gorgeous.
I think that either the pop of color with the eyes would work, OR the bolder lip color, but not both together. I'd go neutral with the lips and do the pop of eyeshadow/liner, or more natural eyes with that color lipstick.
The makeup looks great on her complexion. Since your reception will be at night it is perfect .
Also, your mom is smiling and no apparent crow lines feet . I am jealous I am 28 years old and already have crow feet . Your mother is stunning and radiant.
I have to chime in; your mom is stunning!! I was momentarily confused.. saw the title, then saw the pic and thought "Wait, I thought she was asking about her MOM'S makeup, not hers!?" 
And I agree with those who aren't crazy about the eyeshadow or liner color but that's all I could find fault with.
I think her eyeshadow is a little bright, I have brown eyes too and I LOVE how purples look with brown eyes. Maybe a light lavender would make her feel more comfortable. For evening I like to use a sheer champagne color all over my lid and add a little dark purple to the outer corners and blend to make a smoky effect. I don't wear makeup EVER, but for special occasions I think it's special but not OMG I'M WEARING MAKE-UP I LOOK DIFFERENT I FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE.. She reminds me a lot of my twin sister, who is 21. I want to buy whatever she's using!
She looks absolutely gorgeous!! I seriously thought the pic was of you or a bridesmaid and was confused until i re-read your post and the other bees comments. she looks great!
