I think the best money we have spent on our wedding so far has been our planner/coordinator. She is incredible and has made the entire process so much easier. I would recommend a planner/coordinator to ANYONE getting married. What do you think you wisest “purchase” has been?

A luxury honeymoon to relax after the stress of planning a wedding! It was over our budget, but worth every penny.

@lucyv2003: My best wedding purchase was my photographer, she was amazing. I was my own planner/coordinator and I thought it was really easy. Maybe because everything was DIY and I didn’t have a lot of vendors?

@Bostongrl25: same here! our honeymoon almost cost the same as our wedding and it was 100% worth it!
Otherwise, it was having a wedding on a Friday night and getting EVERYTHING for a super discount because of it. We even booked our photographer for 50% off and the Friday worked out perfectly since 90% of our guests were out of town. Only my parents (and DH and I) had to take off work out of all the guests!

@lucyv2003: hands down our day of coordinator. I always cringe when i see families trying to get themselves down the aisle for a processional or the bride running around giving directions. being stressfree was worth every penny.

I’d say the wisest wedding purchase was the elopement package that was at the lodge on Emerald Lake in Canada. How nice to just show up with our attire and to have dinner reservations booked, the cake created, the flowers arranged, the officiant reserved, everything. They made us feel realy special and we did not have to think about anything. After the roller coaster we had been through (ornery family, my dad passing away, cancelling the DW) we really needed to be taken care of.
We upgraded the package to ensure we had a king room with a view of the lake.
