I fell in love with this dress the other day. It’s listed for 5500, which is more than I want to pay (I think). It’s from Spring 2012 so it’s really new. I was wondering if buying it next year would decrease the price? Does it even work like that?

Anybody? I just loveeee this dress. There has to be ways to get it at a better price.

I would think the price wouldn’t decrease next year but you may be able to buy a sample from the store once the dress isn’t so new at a discount. You could also find it second hand from another bride. Looking at the design though, your bound to find a similar looking dress at a cheaper price from a different designer.

No. Prices do not decrease. But the longer its been around, the more likely you may find a used dress or sample anywhere from 10-30% off depending on the condition and whether or not its been altered.

You have to be careful about waiting, some designers stop making the dress after the season (depending how many are sold). So you might want to try going to a sample sale, which is typically 10% off or asking to purchase the sample after the season is over.
Also, if you’re not too interested on the brand, but more about the look, you could consider buying it from those websites that make a copy of the dress for real cheap
Or you can buy it used:
