I'm doing this as well for our reception and I haven't nailed everything down yet, but this is our plan:
Centerfield, John Fogerty. My FI has played baseball his whole life and its one of his all time favorite songs. This will play on his songs.
The Best Day, Taylor Swift. This is going to play during my songs. I have great memories of my parents from when I was super young, and its a fitting song. It's also cutesy and sweet and fits me very well.
We are Family, Sister Sledge - I have a tiny family, but my FI family is HUGE due to double divorces (sad circumstances, lucky for us that we have so many people who love and support us!) My FI has his Mom with her hubby who she married about 5 years ago, His Dad with his StepMom (their daughter/his little sis is a bridesmaid) and his former stepdad and his wife (his moma nd step dad have a son/his younger bro who is a groomsmen). I'm hoping it can be a very "blended family" uniting song to end with.
As for your choices, are you picking songs for only yourself? What is your taste in music? (I loooove music so these posts get me all excited to help!)
wow i am listening to taylor swifts song right now and literally have tears in my eyes! (so much for mascara today LOL) what an amazing song. i love it.
i had originally thought i would play she's everything by brad paisley for my pics and i call you mine by martina mcbride for my FI pics...then i know its cheesy, but I wanted starship nothings gunna stop us now for our together pics :)
the reason i picked what i had originally thought for FI pics and my pics was bc it was almost as if he would be saying that to me (the shes everything song) and that i would be saying that to him (the i call you mine song.)
i typically am not THIS much into country music but i just recently fell in love with some songs that i will be using for our wedding and i dont want every song the audience hears (first dance, father/daughter, montage etc.) ALL BE COUNTRY!
so i decided instead of trying that i had originally thought for each of our baby/fam pics, maybe i would go with a more up tempo, fun song.
FYI...our first wedding song is i thought i loved you then by brad paisley
our second is i think** ti sposero perche by eros ramazzotti
i love all kinds of music but i will continue to try and find fun and upbeat songs for our family/baby pics. i thought this morning of brown eyed girl, somewhere over the rainbow (the isreal kamikowoa SP verison)...
my sister did "these are the days" by the cranberries and it worked VERY well for her montage!

Hey bees...
I am going to be making my own montaage/slideshow of pictures to show at our reception and i am stuck on the song i should play when its my baby pictures.pics of me with fam/friends. What would you suggest? I would like something upbeat!
