I went so school in Montreal and it is an amaaaaazing city. Definitely spend some time exploring Old Port, which is all lit up at night and just beautiful. My favorite area for restaurants is St Denis, which is on the French side of the city. There is a great place called L'Academie that has amazing pastas and entrees, is BYO and totally inexpensive. Go to Rockaberry's for dessert--famous for their pies! St Laurent is another street full of restaurants and bars (where I used to spend alot of time in college!). It's the street that splits Montreal into French and English so it's a great mix. Both St Laurent and St Denis also have lots of fun shopping :)
Have fun!
Thank you karinab! I really appreciate the recommendations :)
"Weinstein and Gavino's" is the restaurant is where my honey and I went on our first date! It has a great ambiance and an amazing Italian menu. If you can book it in advance, they even have a table for two out on a balcony- separate from the other diners- so romantic :)
Bon appetit!

Hi Frenchbulldog,
I live in Montreal and there are tons of great places to see. Let me know if you have any questions about specific places and what's good or not. I work on Crescent st, right across from Weinsteins actually. It is a great dinner place. I work at a huge restuarant/bar called Sir Winstons and that's a great place to party at afterwards. But definitely check out old Montreal and st laurent, st denis streets. When exactly will you be in Montreal, I could find out if there is anything specific to check out.

Hi Ladies -
FH and I are planning a trip to French Cananda for our Honeymoon and would love your input on places to see and do.
Mrs. Flamigo has already given me too very helpful websites (the Montreal and Quebec tourism sites) but if any one could suggest places to see or they're favorite restuarant we'd really appreciate it :)
Thank you!
