I’m heading to the Moorestown Community House today for my tour and I’m really excited. I love the venue in photos, but I’m wondering if anyone visited or had their wedding there? Here are a few questions?
- What is the surrounding area like?
- Are there grounds to take photos?
- Backup rain plan for ceremony?
- If you used the venue, which Caterer did you use and what did it include? (I am looking for a caterer around 80-90 pp)

@PinkPanda: I’ve DJ-ed events there, while they weren’t weddings, I can speak about the area etc. Moorestown is a really great neighborhood, historic homes, lots of lawyers and bankers live there. The staff there is wonderful. I know there are a bunch of rooms in the community house, and I believe some of them can be used for a ceremony if it rains.
Hopefully you had a great tour!

I live like 5 minutes from there! I went to a wedding over the summer at the Moorestown community house, and it was really nice! The ceremony was on the lawn, which was really pretty, but people driving by were honking and stuff so that wasn’t so great. Also it was at the end of July and it was HOT. The ballroom where the reception was held was really beautiful. I don’t know if there were really grounds to speak of, as you probably know since you’ve already toured it. I don’t remember the name of the caterer they used, but the food was very good, and I can ask them if you like. How did the tour go? Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks for the replies!
@PetraArkanian: The tour went well. I really liked Joan who handles the weddings there she was great. We ended up going with another venue that’s closer since we’re in Philly and more all inclusive with grounds, otherwise, I really liked the place!
