If you saw my last post you’ll know I’ve tried on close to 40 dresses and I’ve never had the “moment” everyone talks about. Maybe I’ll never get it and I’ll have to make the most practical choice. I’m hoping your votes will help me narrow down some of my choices. Unfortunately, most bridal salons do not allow pictures so I cannot show you more options.
A few notes about my wedding that may help with selection:
1-Its a formal black tie event so I’m looking for a dress that fits the theme. I’m drawn to dramatic dresses but I realize they may overwhelm my frame.
2 -I’m petite, a whopping 4’10 tall . Most of the samples I’m trying on are size 12 or 14 so it’s very difficult to get a true sense of what the dresses will look like after alterations.
I’ll just let you have a look for yourself…
#1 San Patrick Eresma – I really liked this dress but I felt like it needed something to spice it up a bit. There is delicate beading all over the dress although it’s hard to tell from the photos.
#2 La Sposa Mirra – This one has a wow factor w/o being too over the top but I’m not sure if it’s formal enough.

I like the San Patrick best. I had the same problem as you as I’m slightly under 5ft and had a hard time visualizing what the dress in my size would look like. I would recommend going to a place like David’s Bridal that has dresses in smaller sizes and trying on a dress in a similar style (mermaid with ruffles) so you can see where it would hit you so you can get a better feel for what the dress you would order would look like in your size. That helped me as a fellow petite bride. 🙂

You really look great in the San Patrick!

Add a blingy belt to the San Patrick and I think you have a winner!

Both of those dresses look beautiful on you, but the first one I LOVE! I ususally am not a fan of that style dress but it just looks so great on you!

The top of the Mira is really pretty, I pick that one!

I like the Eresema more than the Mirra. The Mirra has too much happeNing at the top – the brooch plus the wrapping of the fabric plus the feathers plus the sweetheart…and then there’s all the ruffles at the bottom too. It’s just a bit much for my taste.
I like the simplicity of the first gown with the drama of the skirt on it. It’s pretty, but if I had to say one thing, it’s that I don’t like the “point” created where the ruffles meet the bodice.

Um, is that feathers on the bust of #2? Can we talk about how awesome that is….

I just wanted to tell you that you could pull off anything and look amazing! Don’t worry about having the bridal “moment.” I had that moment.. with the wrong dress. So now I’m buying another one. I wish I had your logical thought processes instead!
