My fiance wants to have have a best man and a groomsman. I have no problem with that, but I only want to have a man of honor. I’ve told my fiance he can have both his people and that would be fine. I don’t have a 2nd person I want there. I have him and my brother I feel like I’m set.
We’re already asking people to come to an out of town Friday night wedding. I don’t want to ask people do spend a lot on tux rental or buying a dress.
My fiance has been hesitant to ask his friend to be a groomsman because he found some online article that says there can be more bridesmaids but never more groomsman. He won’t ask him to be an usher because he was this friend’s best man and thinks it would be an insult to ask him to be an usher. I’ve also suggested that he could be our “d.j.” the person who makes sure the music starts when it needs to. I won’t let him M.C. because he can’t pronouce my fiance’s last name correctly, dispite knowing him for 5 years.
Is it okay for him to have more on his side then I have on mine? Or is there a good way to offer his friend a special job for the wedding without making him feel insulted?
