have they given you an idea of the timeframe? if you're past their initial timeline, go ahead and call. if not, wait until the end of the week or monday.
With my last job, I interviewed and they checked my references and I wasn't offered the position for a month. Did you already sent a hand written thank you? If not, I would send it now and include a line about "looking forward to hearing from them." Otherwise, I would probably wait until Friday and follow up.
Thanks ladies!! My parents said Friday or next week too. Glad to hear everyone kind of agrees with that timeline.
They never told me how long it would be, other than saying I would hear from them "definitely in a month" at the end of the interview, and I heard from them in a week.
Waiting is just so hard!

I am still waiting!! Sorry to keep posting about this, but man, I am going insane. It's been 1 week since they contacted my references. I heard from both of them that they were contacted, and that they gave me great reviews. Now I wait.
How long before it's acceptable to contact the employer and ask how it's going?
