I am looking for 2-3 preferably LDS couples getting married here in the East Valley Area, Arizona in July & August. I have a large photo art project that I need to complete to help aid me in getting into graduate school at Northern Arizona University (NAU). I am looking for couples in the East Valley area in Arizona, who would allow me to shoot their wedding for free, but 30.00 dollars for gas compensation is requested. This would include editing of photos, an engagement shoot if enough time (at least 2 weeks in advance from wedding date) and all proofs burnt onto a CD-R. This is so, I can build a professional portfolio for my entry project for the M.A. in Leadership at NAU. If you are looking for a photographer or someone you know is looking for a photographer I can help! I am, in need of 2-3 preferably LDS couples for my project and they will be compensated with a free wedding package explained briefly above, all for free, except for gas compensation. You can email me at photosbyStaceyK@gmail.com. I would love to help you or someone you know, make that special day, simply great; all for a cost that cannot be beat! I am currently only open for weddings.

I have these days still available for Summer 2009 Weddings: Saturday July 18th and Friday & Saturday August 7th & 8th

Hey! I'm LDS too!! I've found some really cute dresses at Dehlia's that have short sleeves, and I'm pretty sure they are knee length!! You can find it online. The style that I'm using for my 'maids is the alyssa and it's a dress that is definitely rewearable. Plus they are only $44!!

I'm not an LDS bride, but I was in a bookstore in NYC and saw a magazine called "Latter Day Brides" (I think that was the name) and it has a lot of great pictures. I bought it, not realizing until I got home that it was a magazine for LDS brides, but I still loved the pics and thought it was a great magazine. Here's the link for the magazine: www.latterdaybride.com/latterdaybride-magazine.php

Have you read through Mrs. Avocado's archives? She had her dress altered for modesty (and it was lovely), I'm sure you can do the same thing for your bridesmaids.

I just married in June in the beautiful Mesa Arizona Temple - but that doesn't stop me from coming on here and still "plan" my wedding. Haha, I just love weddings!

Anyway, I know right now beautifullymodest.com is having a dress sale! They have some beautiful dress right now from anywhere between $100 - $500 dollars. You might want to look there if you are looking for a cheap yet beautiful modest gown.

This cracks me up...I was litterally "just" about to post a "any lds brides out there" post, and then I came across this one.

As for the modest/inexpensive bridesmaid dresses, I very randomly found mine at Christopher & Banks. It kind of makes me laugh because my sisters (bridesmaids) would never step foot in that store. And then I found some very cute & modest black dresses there, bought them (for $15) and took them to show them to my sisters and they LOVED them. After I got the rave reviews from them, I told them they were from Christopher & Banks and couldn't stop giggling at their reaction.
