I loved infiniti photography but didn't end up using them. Their work is incredible:

I booked Dan Loh who is also insanely phenominal. We had a weird circumstance where someone we really wanted got booked and this was his recommendation.
Good luck!
Punam Bean! We just booked her--she also did Mrs. Tulip's wedding. We love, love, love her. Her work is so emotional, and she really knows her way around light and color.
check out mine! www.somethinginblue.com but they strictly do photojournalistic style (they used to be paparazzi!). they're wonderful people too--a married couple. super honest too. i was about to purchase the more expensive package but they convinced me that i really didn't need to spend an additional $1000. they were even the ones that helped me find my reception venue as well :)
If you have that much, all I can say w/o a DOUBT is take a look at this photog:
*Be prepared to be stunned, he does travel.
Danny Weiss! I believe Mrs. Peony used him as well. He's awesome, laid back and funny. Eveny my DH felt comfortable around him.
Thanks for your help everyone!
Parker J is amazing but he starts at 10K so he's out of my budget esp when you add in albums. But he's super nice and I wish he worked out!
Danny Weiss was booked unfortunately, he's also really talented.
I have an appointment with Punam Bean and Gulnara Studio (She's on Grace Ormand 2008 list).
Any other suggestions? I love to look at photography blogs!
2nd Punam Bean - we're using here this coming weekend for our big day! just did an enagement session and she was amazing and took beauitful pictures!!
We used Raquel Reis. She may be a little bit higher than your budget, but we really like her and we love our wedding photos.
Susan Stripling JUST relocated from Florida to NYC. She's one of my absolute favorite photogs and does phenomenol work. I'm not sure what her rates are (although I'm sure they're pretty high), but I think she's worth every penny. Plus, you may be able to negotiate a more reasonable rate considering that she just relocated and needs to rebuild her customer/ word-of-mouth base.
I've been in touch with her before and she's a sweetheart. So it doesn't hurt to contact her and see if she can work with your budget.
Good luck! :-)
We just booked with Steven Tackeff Photography -- they're a soon-to-be-husband-and-wife team, and their package is about $5000 including an engagement shoot, album credit, etc. They're based in Fort Lee, NJ.

I know there is another post on the NYC board about photogs but my budget is a little higher. I can probably spend $6K depending on how much video ends up costing us.
Any other suggestions that aren't already listed on the other post? I've already contacted Heather Waraska (love her work so much) but she hasn't gotten back to me. She's one busy lady. I also have a price list for Angelica Glass.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
