Not Crazy, I did the same thing even though my whole family thinks it was a bad idea. I have a sheath/mermaid dress Essense of Australia D985 for the ceremony, and I found a really great deal on a designer sample Blue by Enzoani Bedford that I ordered online that I was going to crop to make into a short dress for reception, the only problem is the dress I ordered for reception is a tad to tight and does not really flatter even though I ordered it in the same size as the ceremony gown. I am planning on losing some weight, but until then then the Blue by Enzoani is up for sale. If I don’t sell it by March my grandma is going to do major alterations on it so it will be short, and fit.

I love your dress : )

I need to get a second dress, because our wedding was originally intended for winter, and now it’s going to be mid summer. So, I’ll have one for the ceremony and one for the reception. Plus, we are planning on going out afterwards, and I can’t wear a mermaid gown with a train to a bar, lol.
