@StarIzInkd: I'm a Swan Club bride. I live right nearby and have tons of info, message me if you have specifics you want.
How big is your reception? San Souci--pretty view but I ruled them out for size and some other reasons.
I have also heard that the SC doesn't ever really negotiate price--but you might get them to throw in parts of the Platinum upgrade. It wasn't worth it for us to pick and choose the parts so we just upgraded to Platinum and were done with it.
dont believe that ladies! no price is set in stone! if my wedding planner can put together an amazing wedding for me and negotiate venue/vendor prices down to give me a $5,000 wedding in NYC of all places where everything costs an arm and a leg i cant imagine what she can do in long island where its so much easier! my nut of a fiance was dead set on a city wedding and i thought we were going to get stuck at a bar but we have a great venue with a terrace and amazing views and the caterer she scored for us is simply divine!

After having my heart broken again by going back to Chateau Le MEr and not being able to afford... I am going to visit 2 more venues in Long Island tomorrow with my mom. Going to The Swan CLub and also Sans Souci Sea CLiff. Was wondering if anyone has been there or had their wedding there... what should I expect? What did you like or not like? Were either willing to help with price?
