@breanne9713:  I love my morganite e-ring. I wear it everywhere and I’m a total klutz, and I think it holds up well, but it hasn’t even been a year, so who knows. I’m not too worried. I think you should try on a stone in that size if you can find one on your fingers. I have a 1-carat equivalent on my size 3 fingers and it is about as large as I’m comfortable with

I love morganite!  I went about a third of the size of yours because I’m a nurse and wanted to be able to wear it to work, but I love the ring that you’re looking at too!  The one thing you will find with morganite is that some people will make comments on the appearance because it’s different to begin with.  For instance, people will ask you what kind of stone it is or make comments on what they assume it is.  I’ve had some people think it’s a pink diamond, a sapphire, etc.  I have no problem answering them because I love the way that the ring looks and I get lots of compliments on it.

@breanne9713:  LOL um.. I am so lazy I never clean it. Honestly, you’re talking to the wrong girl, I’m not that crazy about my ring, it’s not a big detail for me. I’ll PM you a cost estimate

@breanne9713:  Almost a month 🙂  This is it right now (second pic down)..the light is reflecting on it weird, it’s a pretty clear stone.  I’ll attach another one too so you can see the color (first pic down).

@breanne9713:  I will say the rose gold does have a small mark on it already from when I was taking stuff out of the washing machine when it was on…so it really is a little softer, but I still love it and will just get it taken care of when it’s sized.

@breanne9713:  love love love my Morganite engagement ring 🙂  It’s almost 4 carats and I have a 5.5 finger so similar to the size you’re looking at. I’ve posted it on another thread but here’s a couple pics. I LOVE morganite with rose gold but our jeweler convinced my fiance out of it (wasn’t hard since his preference was white anyway!) because the stone picks up the color of the metal so I’m just going to pair with a rose gold wedding band. I’m also kind of OCD and clean it more than once a week, but the basket/cage part is pretty open under the stone so I think that’s why. We got engaged this past November so can’t speak on the wear yet but I try my best to be careful and it’s a pretty strong stone so should be fine.

Mine is from Rosados box! It’s the Taylor. 8mm x 8mm cushion cut morganite in rose gold. I think equivalent to 2.4 carats is what she has on the website. My fiance enjoyed working with her and she apparently got the ring to him pretty fast!

I will say it does get dirty a lot more than I would have hoped. Love the stone, love the color with the rose gold and I get so many compliments on it for real. People love that it’s so different. However, I think we will be changing the stone to a moissanite (maybe also change the setting to be six prong round) next year after we get married. I do love it to pieces but with how often I have to clean it I don’t know how super long lived it could be.
