My birthday is coming up soon and I asked Darling Husband for a RHR. I want an emerald cut peach colored stone in a Rose gold halo or a split shank pave band. I keep debating between a sapphire and a morganite. I have seen neither in person but I am headed to the jeweler on Monday to check out some that he ordered for me.
To quest my hunger for these peachy colored stones, please reply with ring porn and/or your opinion on which stone has the most sparkle?

Can you post pictures of what you’ve been looking at?

Sapphire is harder, that’s what I would go with. Both are lovely though.

I would definitely go with sapphire as it’s stronger and generally more sparkly. Neither will have the sparkle of a diamond though. You could look into color treated moissanite, though I don’t think they have emeralds. Emeralds in general are not very sparkly cuts, so if you go with an emerald cut gem, be prepared to have more color than sparkle.

@peachacid: Something along the lines of these rings, it would be custom so I could tweak it a bit (the asscher in the 2nd pic would be replaced with an emerald cut)

Let me know if you are still in the market for this ring.
I am the original designer of the ring in the second photo, the rose gold showcasing the asscher cut 😉
I was doing some internet quality control for image copyright stuff, and I came across your post. If you are still looking, all creations from my collection can be made with any shape of diamond, or colored gemstone.
Pink sapphire all the way as well, where or what you decide to buy – peach pink sapphire will far outlast the rest.
Here is an angle view from my gallery on the ring that you were looking at…
