I've heard some horror stories about dresses from David's Bridal, but a lot of brides seem to buy their dresses from there because its more affordable.
Well, have you ever tried Mori Lee dresses? My cousin purchased a stunner last Fall that had beautiful beading & cost her under $600. It looked like it was 3 times that price... Mori Lees price range is usually between $200-1200. There are different lines for different price ranges.. something to check out budget brides :)
Anyone else have a good (or bad?) experience with Mori Lee?
My dress is a Mori Lee and I LOVE it! Its tea lengh, strapless, and has lace/beading under the bust and along the hem. It's a beautiful dress and I got it for under $500 and that's including the extra they charge for "plus size" which I only had to order because of my overly large chest.
I looked at David's Bridal first and I didn't really see anything that wowed me. Alot of what I wanted to try on, they didn't have in my size and I surely didn't want to order a dress without seeing it. They service there was pretty good. And there's a bridesmaid dress there that I love and may go back and get for my shower or rehersal.
I am very happy with my Mori Lee dress and I can't wait until June when it comes in!

Mine is a Mori Lee, I got it at the Running of the Brides and I love it! It definitely needs altered so don't want to share the pic of me in it, but here is a stock picture. It doesn't look this poofy IRL, and the gold detail in the pic does not stand out that much either. Its a very nice dress, lightweight, doesn't feel like you are wearing a 50 pound brick around your neck and the beading detail is incredible. Best of luck to you!
my dress is mori lee and i LOVE it! and i lot more than any i liked at david's bridal, especially for the price...which was important to me! it also came in in less than 4 weeks...which was really surprising! i got it for less than $300. my roommate, who's engaged...and super obsessed with all things designer, got a mori lee too. she's in love with it!

I'm happy to hear there are other Mori Lee brides out there! not that the name should matter, but when I found what I *think* is the dress, I was so suprised that it was under $700!
Guess that means I can splurge on the shoes! Wooooooo!!!!!!
I tried on a zillion dresses. I fell in love with 1612 at a trunk show. Mori Lee dresses are gorgeous, fun, and the prices are unbelievable!
I couldn't be happier about my choice!
personally, I hate davids bridal. I was engaged 4 years ago and they rushed me into buying a dress by telling me that it was going to be discontinued. Well, 4 years later the dress is still being sold in the stores. My ex cheated on me so there was no wedding. Now, I have to sell that dress. DB dresses are cheaply made, the alterations cost almost as much as the dress, and many times the alterations need to be redone by a professional seamstress after DB messes up.
I was also a bridesmaid 2 years ago. I had my shoes died to match my dress and they did such a sloppy job. There were spots all over the shoes. Disgusting!
I recently got engaged again and I went out and took my time trying on dresses. I found a Mori Lee dress and one of her trunk shows. It was a toss up between an Allure dress and the Mori Lee. The Mori Lee dress won out. It is stunning, awesome price, and SO light and comfortable!!
DB is good if you need a dress asap. Othewise, I'd stay away! Everyone is excited about Vera Wang at DB and I don't understand why. I have a feeling brides just want to say their dress is a Vera Wang,,,,BUT its still from Davids Bridal!!! Blah!

i've personally been very pleased with several daughters' wedding gowns, as well as a few prom/pageant gowns by Mori Lee.
I didn't wind up with a Mori Lee, but I can attest that they have some stunning gowns at amazing prices!
Here's my ML! This is my first fitting so the dress hasn't been altered in any way (i.e. I am having that flower removed). Also, the sample was HUGE haha.
So happy to see someone rocking this dress!!! It is such a stunning style. You look fantastic!

@vreelans: thank you so so much! I should actually share the photo of it when it finally arrived a few months ago (I am wearing my hoop too) I am OBSESSED with it. I can't wait until June to wear it! Again, that flower was removed cuz I do not like that :)

@cwbrown85: i am BEYOND obsessed with it. i checked with 4 bridal shops near me in MN and none of them had it in stock! i absolutely dread halters in any form. or well, always have. until i saw THAT. waaaaahhhh i just dont have words for it. im very excited for it. it looks stunning on you! and i definitely do not think just any bride could pull it off!

@vreelans: I feel the same way about halters! I was like a HALTER wedding gown?! Kill me. THEN I saw that beauty and I knew it was for me! It took me FOREVER to track it down too. I finally found it in this random bridal shop in DC. They didn't even have it at Kleinfelds! So finding the gown was definitely an added bonus haha :)
I am a Mori Lee Bride!!
I tried on countless dresses and without looking at the tags always ended up favouring Mori Lee dresses over anything else. They all fit well and felt most comfortable, and I loved the styles. I ended up ordering MoriLee 1614. Not the sort of bride who gets all gushy feeling with "the one", so after trying on NUMEROUS dresses, names,styles, I ended up getting the third one I tried on the first day. Couldn't get it out of my head. Just had to confirm it was the one! (plus, I was trying to be cost saavy and get a much cheaper dress but in all I loved this one so I ended up paying more and don't regret it! - I wanted to spend $600, cost was about $1000)

I'm a Mori Lee Bride too!! I originally purchased a very expensive Pronovias Gown but changed my mind and ended up with a Mori Lee. It came in last weekend and I LOVE it!

I stole the belt from a Jasmine dress that they had in the store and ordered it separately. Happened to match perfectly!
Mori Lee by far is my favourite designer for wedding dresses. The fit is amazing especially for anyone who is not a "sample" size. Mori Lee offers a number of curve hugging styles that will make you feel beautiful for your special day. This was the first Mori Lee style that almost became my wedding dress
